Prison sentence for peer’s son - Benjamin Boateng, 27, guilty of sexual assault

THE son of a former cabinet minister has been jailed for sexually assaulting a woman.

A jury at Kingston Crown Court found Benjamin Boateng, 27, guilty of sexual assault of a 22-year-old and he was sentenced to three years and 10 months in prison.

The court had heard the victim was assaulted at a house party following a night “clubbing” in Mayfair in September last year.

Mr Boateng, of Crawford Street, Marylebone, is the son of Lord Boateng the ex-Brent South MP and former British High Commissioner to South Africa.
